On March 26th, the Montgomery County Board of Education voted 7 to 1 to approve the biggest MCPS school boundary changes in decades. Wootton High School is permanently relocating from Rockville to the Crown Farm site in Gaithersburg starting the 2027 2028 school year. 50 elementary schools across Montgomery County got reassigned to new middle schools and high schools. The Downcounty Consortium and Northeast Consortium are completely eliminated and replaced with a six region model. If you own a home in Montgomery County Maryland or you are thinking about buying one, these MCPS boundary changes will affect your property value.
